My beautiful Beirut <3
I visited Beirut in 1993. I remember going for a walk in West Beirut. A 6 year old kid ran up to me from his destroyed apartment building to say hello. I gave him a Kodak gadget I had at hand. He ran off more than happy. A couple of minutes later he came back with a handful of fresh berries and fruits in his hand. A gesture I've never forgotten.
