It’s been about a month since a Badgers fan’s video showing racist gestures on TikTok went viral.
The incent happened about a month ago at a basketball game between the Wisconsin Badgers and the Northwestern University basketball team.
In the mdle of the game, a fan was filmed from the stands making racist gestures towards the opposing team’s student section.
After repeated actions, he was removed from the stands by guard and the Badgers later announced that he was banned from all future games.
While the Wisconsin-based team banned the fan, they dn’t prove his name or any entifying details.
And since he wore a mask in the game, people couldn’t get to know the man and couldn’t see his face.
But now a TikTok user has found the entification of the racist man.

Erik Kotek is the racist Badgers fan who was filmed making racist gestures towards the student section of Northwestern University.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he is entified as an employee of the SAP software company.

A media user named Danesh made the video claiming the racist Badgers fan had been entified.
According to the results, Kotek works as a senior account executive in SAP’s Human Capital Management Solutions division.
The LinkedIn profile also confirms his position in the software company.
In entifying the indivual, the user also says that the Wisconsin basketball team has not revealed his name because of his job at SAP.
Still, the actual confirmation may be confusing for some as the person’s face is obscured by the mask, but the claim appears to be true to an outser.

The Wisconsin controversy centers on a Badgers fan making racist gestures towards the NWU student department.
It happened during a basketball game between the two institutions.

Former UW student identified as fan who made racist gestures at Northwestern basketball game
Over a month after the original incident, a tweet identified former University of Wisconsin student Eric Kotek as the person who made racist gestures towards the student section at a January 18, 2022 Northwestern basketball game.
The tweet posted by @thatdaneshguy shows two videos of the incident and confirms Kotek’s identity with photographic evidence. In an email to The Badger Herald, UW spokeswoman Meredith McGlone confirmed the videos were Kotek.
This wasn’t the first time Kotek made racist gestures at a UW sporting event. According to reports from The Badger Herald, Kotek yelled derogatory profanities at the opposing team and fans at a basketball game at the Kohl Center in 2013 while he was a student at UW. Kotek was arrested on counts of fourth-degree sexual assault, assault and disorderly conduct, UWPD spokesman Marc Lovicott said in an email to The Badger Herald. Kotek was not convicted of these charges, meaning the Dane County District Attorney has not pursued, dropped, or amended the charges.
Following Kotek’s actions at the Northwestern game, UW Chancellor Rebecca Blank and athletic director Chris McIntosh released a joint statement condemning the “offensive anti-Asian gestures by a man in Badgers attire” and thanking viewers for videotaping Kotek’s actions to have.
“We also want to recognize that hateful behavior like this still occurs far too often, on and off campus — toward members of our Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi-American, and other marginalized communities,” said Blank and McIntosh. “It causes pain and anxiety and makes students, staff and faculty feel unwelcome and unsafe.”

Kotek was also banned from purchasing tickets through the UW Athletics platform, according to the statement.
Kotek previously worked for SAP, a German multinational software company. But he hasn’t been an employee there since the incident in January, according to a tweet from SAP in the Twitter thread in which he was identified.
