Sources say Dunbar’s departure stems from the show’s new Covid protocols, produced by Disney TV Studios’ 20th television, which mandate that all actors be vaccinated.
I understand Dunbar applied for a medical exemption and later a religious exemption. Both have been reviewed and rejected by Disney, sources said. According to insiders, Dunbar is not seen as anti-vaccination but refused to comply with Covid’s vaccination mandate based on the reasons he presented, leading to his September 1 exit.
In a statement to Deadline, Dunbar confirmed the circumstances of his departure.
