Stan Borys, którego oryginalne nazwisko było Stanisław Guzek, urodził się 3 września 1941 roku w Załężu. Od początku nteresował się sztuką grając na różnych instrumentach. W 1958 zadebiutował w teatrach rzeszowskich, oraz w zesple Blackout, który założył razem z Tadeuszem Nalepą. Potem występował w formacji Bizony, ze Zbigniewm Bizońiem.
