Did Tefi and Jason break up and what happened to the influencer couple

Tefi Pessoa has asked Twitter for privacy regarding her split from Jason Sobe, but what happened to the couple and when did they split?

Private lives are never private

Unfortunately for public figures, personal life never stays under the radar, so they must be prepared to block the negative comments.

It’s especially hard when celebs are taking their love lives to social media, and for Tefi, the constant reminders are taking their toll.

The influencer, real name Estefania Pessoa, sent a tweet urging fans to stop sending screenshots of her ex-fiancé Jason Sobe. She obviously knows how it all went, which is why she doesn’t want others to tell her again.

This tweet comes as a surprise to some fans who didn’t know they broke up, but it’s been a rumor since September.

OMG Who is Kelly Kay? The appearance on the No Jumper podcast spreads wild claims

Please stop sending me screenshots, I promise I already know everything and that’s why I ended my relationship. Good luck and God bless – HELLOTEFI 🥭 (@hellotefi) October 27, 2021

When did Tefi and Jason break up?

A quick investigation on Twitter shows the 31-year-old split from her agent and entrepreneur fiancé around September 20, 2021.

Fans noticed that her social media was empty of couple photos, prompting her to DM her about her relationship status.

In September she shared:

“He threw me off and I’m devastated. That’s what happened. But I’m begging you, please stop flooding all my DMs. I would never have been so public with my relationship had I seen this coming. If you all want him so badly, you can have him. I am not feeling well. I don’t regret a single moment of my relationship and no one on this earth could ever make me change the way I love people or don’t believe in love. But if you’re in a situation where you don’t want your best friend, siblings, or child, leave. I love you and I will see you soon.”

A month later, Pessoa is still being questioned about her private life.

The reason for their split remains a mystery, and given that they’re about to be married, it’s all the more devastating.

I’m trying so hard to be graceful this is the worst heartbreak of my life please stop asking me and my ex what happened. I am literally begging you. I’ve muted every word related to all sorts of things and somehow I still get hundreds a day – HELLOTEFI 🥭 (@hellotefi) September 20, 2021

When did you want to get married?

According to wedding planning site The Knot, the couple had a honeymoon fund that welcomed gift donations.

On November 21, 2021, they planned to go to Brazil, so we can assume they would get married in early to mid-November – her tweet on October 30, 2020 announcing that Jason would take her last name confirms this .

Tefi Pessoa On Her Career, Mental Health, And How She Became The Woman She Always Wanted To Be

Estefania Pessoa, aka Tefi, is a hilarious, friendly, and down-to-earth social media comedian that we can’t get enough of. Her knowledge and honest take on advice and pop culture has earned her well-deserved recognition on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. She has her own pop culture show, Tefi on YouTube, which is sure to tell you all the important celebrity news you need to know while also making you laugh like you’ve never done before. I was honored to chat with Tefi and learn more about how she got her start in social media and the mental health field and how she became the woman she always wanted to be.

Anyone who follows you on Tik Tok or subscribes to the Tefi channel knows you’re a great pop culture expert. What sparked your passion for pop culture?

i was lonely During high school, during the 2000s era, I was in a relationship with a guy who was just really toxic, and he kind of isolated me. At that time I kind of lost touch with all my friends. So I looked at all these shows that aren’t on TV anymore, but they were so catchy, like VH1’s Behind The Music and shows that give you a glimpse into all these celebrity lives, and they talked about what Beyonce does and what she spends, and about all these other celebrities. Then I saw I love the 90’s, I love the 80’s, I love the 70’s and I would watch them with my mom. I was alone a lot and started taking school seriously around that age. I was with my mother a lot and watched a lot of TV, so I think I’ve retained all that knowledge. Social media was also just starting to flourish, and the only way to get closer to celebrities was to watch these shows. Now we have Twitter and Instagram where someone can reply to you. If they had that back then, I would have lost my mind. But back then I think I was learning about pop culture and couldn’t talk to anyone about it, so I talked about it with my family and it became a bonding thing! That’s kind of where it started, I wanted to get to know these celebrities as best I could and I was lonely. Then you have that in a way as a conversation starter or conversation starter with family and potential new friends.

How did your show Tefi get started on YouTube?

I’ve always worked in wardrobe styling or in production and I’ve always been on set and stuff. At that time I was working in the social media management of a photo and production studio. I would help take care of clients and I remember being on social media so much. Being on social media that much somehow makes you less afraid of it. So I started doing long Instagram stories, just chatting between courses or if something funny happened to me or I had an opinion on something, I just posted it on my Instagram stories. A friend of mine then DMed me one day and she told me that her friend is a producer for a startup called Dreams and that they wanted to create and produce their own content. They were looking for TV presenters and she told me to email them and connect. I remember contacting them and they asked me, “If we gave you a show, could you tell us what you would talk about?” They didn’t tell me about it, they didn’t tell me that other famous comics, podcasters or well-known You-Tubers and people who studied broadcast journalism have already auditioned for this spot.

So in the presentation I sent it was a PowerPoint presentation and I titled it “The Sh** I’m Going To Talk About” and they loved it. I went to the audition and they put me in front of a camera and told me I had 15 minutes to talk about anything I wanted to talk about. Then I looked into the crowd and saw other people waiting for the audition, I got nervous so I started talking about the Met Gala that had just happened and I was talking about Harry Styles, Nick Jonas, etc. There went to the 14 minute mark and I had to hurry because I had so many things to say. They ended up loving it and they sent me a contract and I was the only one they hired. It was a new company and they said to me, ‘We’re not going to give you trials, you get 13 episodes, and if it works, we’ll keep it. We’ll build you the set, we’ll get all the gear you need and you’ll have to hire your own team. Luckily it worked out and I hired my best friend and we just built a team from there and it was an all female comics team.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to follow in your footsteps?

When people message me on LinkedIn, they ask, “Hi Tefi, do you have any advice?” I say, “Talk to your Instagram story!” Just like the genie in Aladdin says, be yourself. You have to be brave and tackle it. Do as much as you can in your space and don’t even worry about likes or whatever. Just do what you want and people will find you.

Did you always know you wanted to be a host?

I’ll tell you the truth, I thought my destiny was to be a “real housewife”. I knew I wanted to be heard, but I didn’t know how it would happen. I’m reflecting on my life and how I’ve always expressed myself in some way in any career choice, but with a toe in the water, not fully immersed in it. I’ve always expressed myself and it took me a long time to be brave enough to say I wanted to be in front of the camera. I figured I needed everyone else’s approval to do this. I thought people would make fun of me. So one day I decided I wanted to be heard and I liked the feedback I got because I was just more myself on social media. Then I started saying in all conversations, “Well, one day I’ll get paid to be myself, one day it’ll be my job to just be myself!” I started saying that all the time and I think I just started living that. Then, if I saw opportunities opening up in that direction, I would try. I had to start saying it, and a lot of people say manifest and write it down, but I think the universe is like Helen Keller, you have to say it, you have to spell it, you have to put your hand under the water and do it. You have to make it clear what you want and let people hear it.

In a recent interview you mentioned that your whole life you have imagined the woman you wanted to be. How did that help you become who you are today? I think visions have a lot of power and there is a lot of power in creating them for yourself. We grow up thinking I should do this so I can have that. For example, if you ask someone what they want to be when they grow up, they usually say they want a job and want to be financially stable. What is that? How do you mean? If you ask people about their dreams and things, why would they say they just want to be financially stable? I said dream! You should be on a yacht dip in gold. A lot of it was fear of asking, and then I realized I don’t have to ask anyone, I can create that person for myself. I struggle with depression and anxiety a lot, so I started dreaming about being a person who takes control, overcomes, gets help, and wakes up at a certain time. It all started when I was just thinking about how this girl goes to the gym, takes care of herself, does things that she knows will be good for her, and she doesn’t hesitate. I would like to be that person! So it started with little things like that. Once you wake up and you feel better then you feel better enough to go a little further and then finally I thought I want to be that girl that goes to work, that loves what it does, that gets heard, that helps other people, makes people laugh and makes them feel more comfortable. So start building that person, pretend to be that person, and you become that person.

You are hilarious on TikTok. Where do you get your inspiration from?

Theatre! Just kidding, I think I’m pretending to do this to you right now just to chat. I’ll have a chat with a friend and say, “Wait a minute, let me do a TikTok about it!” I’ll just do it in case someone’s going through the same thing or if someone loves this movie too, etc. I get it a lot from conversations in real life and things i wanted to know when i was younger. I want to be as close as possible.

How do you push aside your fear of being able to deliver on Tefi or film a TikTok?

I think we need to laugh a little at ourselves. We cannot allow ourselves to be toxically positive if we don’t allow ourselves to feel negative feelings. When I’m scared, everything seems so dramatic to me. So what helps and grounds me is to laugh at myself and tell myself, “You’re so dramatic!” Or calling my friends who are also suffering and laughing about it with them. I’ll tell them, ‘You know what I did last night? You have to laugh at yourself.

How do you deal with negative comments on the internet?

I get a lot of them. I think it bothers people to see other people happy. It’s sad, but it’s strange. I always feel really bad for people who come back with a super hard clap because I’m like oh my god someone is talking to you like that. So I’m trying to humanize them, but not too much to the point where I’m going to get into it too much. If I catch myself getting too involved and getting into the game, responding and trying to beat it, I just block them.

You have a podcast called Que Pena with your best friend Molly. How did that come about and what do you like best about it?

That was before we got the Tefi show, and we needed a creative outlet. I started getting louder on Instagram and social media and people would message me and tell me to get a podcast. So I asked the person I joke best with, and it’s Molly. Molly and I have always been in creative fields, but never as creatives. So that was an opportunity for us to start writing and play around with comedy. The best part is that I can laugh with my boyfriend. I enjoy it so much I forget we’re recording because I can laugh so much with my boyfriend.

How are you taking care of your mental health during these tough times? I have a psychiatrist, I have a therapist, and I have my regular group of friends. My fiancé, my mother, Molly, none of them have the same mental health problems as me. So you’re a great prospect and you’re not dismissing her and wanting to understand her better. When I explain it to them and tell them how I feel, it’s almost like a therapy session. Then they tell me how they take it, it’s a whole different perspective. It’s great to have these people that you can have a real conversation with and who want to help you. I also write a lot. It helps me to understand myself better. I also started meditating and meditating has changed my life. It has helped me learn to calm myself, to find the truth within myself, to open up, to unpack and to look at it. It has helped me become a more honest and reflective person.

Your hair is incredible. How do you care for your hair and how has your hair journey been?

I went through a high school where I dyed my hair phase. I’ve fried my hair so many times and I’ve had it in every single length you can imagine except bald. I guess since I’m poor too, I couldn’t afford to mess with my hair anymore. I focused on Mob Wives on VH1 because they had the shiniest long black hair and I was obsessed with it. I’m a hair mask and deep conditioner girl. I will say that I have been using Fanola for about a month now and my hair has never been so healthy. I didn’t expect it and I never say it. The Fanola deep conditioner changed my hair. I can’t even believe it and I smell like milk and honey. I think the best advice is to find a product that works and then leave your hair alone. Leave it alone!
