Constantini made her international curling debut at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in the mixed team, finishing third for Luca Rizzolli.[4] The team went 3-4 through the round robin but lost to Turkey’s Oğuzhan Karakurt in a tiebreaker. She also competed in the mixed doubles event with British curler Callum Kinnear. The pair made it into the last eight, where they lost to China’s Zhao Ruiyi and Norway’s Andreas Hårstad.[6]
Constantini was drafted into the Italy national women’s curling team for the 2017–18 season as the team’s runners-up. The team also consisted of Skip Diana Gaspari, Third Veronica Zappone, Lead Angela Romei and Deputy Chiara Olivieri. The first international event of the Team of the Season was at the 2017 European Curling Championships in St. Gallen, Switzerland. The team played well through the round robin and qualified for the playoffs against higher-ranked teams like Russia’s Anna Sidorova and Germany’s Daniela Jentsch. After losing to Sweden’s Anna Hasselborg in the semifinals, the Italian team beat Switzerland’s Silvana Tirinzoni 7-6 to win the bronze medal, Italy’s third-ever medal at the European Championships for women.[7] Next, the Italian women’s ice rink competed in the 2017 Olympic Qualifying Event to secure a spot at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. In the first qualifying final, the Italian team gave up nine stolen points against China’s Wang Bingyu, eventually losing the game 11–4.[9] They had a second chance to qualify for the matches against Denmark’s Madeleine Dupont in the second qualifying final. In a close game, Denmark’s Dupont scored in the extra end to win 5-4 and secure last place at the Olympics, meaning Italy would miss the games. The team had another international event during the season, with Constantini competing in their first curling world championship at the 2018 Women’s Curling World Championship. Despite their previous success, Team Gaspari finished last in the World Championships with a 2-10 record, defeating only Scotland’s Hannah Fleming and Russia’s Victoria Moiseeva. Still in junior age, Constantini also skipped Italy’s junior women’s team at the 2018 World Junior B Curling Championships, finishing fifth with a 5–2 record.
After Diana Gaspari retired from the women’s team, Constantini was promoted to third place at the Italian rink, with Veronica Zappone taking over as skipper for the 2018–19 season. Romei moved up to second place, while Frederica Ghedina and Elena Dami joined at the top and as a deputy, respectively. The team remained in the A Division at the 2018 European Curling Championships but finished last with a 2-7 record. This relegated Italy to the B division for the 2019 event, meaning it would not qualify for the 2019 World Women’s Curling Championships. Despite her result, Constantini was still a junior and skipped the Italian women’s rink again at the 2019 World Junior B Curling Championships. There, her team finished with a 3-3 record, not enough to advance to the final eight playoff rounds. Two months later, in March 2019, Constantini skipped Team Italy at the 2019 Winter Universiade, where her team finished last with a 2-7 record.
Last place finish at the 2018 edition saw Zappone’s rink relegated to the B division of the 2019 European Curling Championships, where they would need to finish in the top two to be promoted back to the A division and secure a place in the 2020 World Qualification Event.[15] The round robin saw the team suffer two losses en route to second place in the group, behind only Turkey’s Dilşat Yıldız, who handed the Italian one of his two losses.[16] Team Zappone faced Hungary’s Dorottya Palancsa in the semifinals and won the match 9-4, securing a place in the finals where they would face the Turkish team.[17] The Italians opened a comfortable lead through the first five ends, which they rode to a 5-2 victory over Turkey and a gold medal in the B Division. Her win secured her spot at the World Qualification Event in January 2020, where two countries would qualify for the 2020 World Women’s Curling Championships. The team finished the round robin 6-1, losing only to undefeated South Korean team Gim Un-chi. They then met in the first qualifier at Gim’s rink, where South Korea made a comeback in the second half of the game, beating the Italians 6-5. They then faced Yıldız Turkish Ice Rink in the second qualifier for the last place in the World Championship, which they won 8–4. Unfortunately, the World Cup was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[21][22] In her final year of junior eligibility, Constantini’s junior rink finished the 2019 World Junior B Curling Championships with a 5-1 record.
Due to the pandemic, the European Curling Championships were cancelled.[23] As a result, the field for the 2021 Women’s Curling World Championship was expanded to fourteen teams as many countries did not have the opportunity to qualify for the championship. Based on their success at the 2020 World Qualification Event, the Italian women’s team finished fourteenth and last in the championship.[24] Constantini advanced to leapfrog the Italian team, which also included third Marta Lo Deserto, second Angela Romei, lead Giulia Zardini Lacedelli and alternate Elena Dami. The team finished thirteenth at the championship with a 2–11 record, defeating Estonian Marie Turmann and Germany’s Daniela Jentsch. In May 2021, Constantini teamed up with Amos Mosaner to compete in the 2021 World Curling Championships in mixed doubles. Constantini is playing in the mixed doubles event for the first time since her appearance at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games. Italy’s results were unaffected by Constantini’s lack of experience in the discipline, as the Italian duo won seven of their nine round-robin games and qualified for the playoff round. This is how they also qualified Italy for the 2022 Winter Olympics mixed doubles tournament in Beijing, China, Italy took part in this event for the first time as it missed qualifying for the 2018 Winter Olympics. Constantini continued to skip the Italy women’s team in the 2021–22 season. She led her team to a 4-5 round robin record at the 2021 European Curling Championships in Lillehammer, Norway. After eight draws, the Italian team lay fourth in the table with a 4-3 record. They faced Muirhead’s British side in their last round robin draw and had a chance to secure fourth place in the playoffs. However, the team would lose 8-1 to Team Muirhead, meaning Latvia deserved the final playoff spot instead of them. However, Constantini was still allowed to compete in the Olympics because of her strong result at the 2021 World Championships in mixed doubles with Amos Mosaner. The team entered the mixed doubles tournament as underdogs but gained international fame for their strong play and team dynamics.[2] Against a stacked field, the Italian pair finished the round robin with a perfectly flawless 9-0 record, three games ahead of second-place Norway, who was 6-3. This earned them a spot in the playoff round, where they easily defeated Swedes Almida de Val and Oskar Eriksson to advance to the gold medal game. In the final, Constantini and Mosaner faced Norwegian pairing Kristin Skaslien and Magnus Nedregotten, the team that knocked them out of the 2021 World Cup.
