‘Jump-kick man’ who was filmed kicking Kyle Rittenhouse in the head is revealed

Joseph Rosenbaum was the first person Rittenhouse shot dead on the night of August 25, 2020. The 36-year-old had been released from a psychiatric facility earlier that day and was still carrying the plastic bag of belongings he had been released with.

Diagnosed with a variety of mental health issues, including bipolar disorder, he was admitted for attempted suicide and was barred from staying with his fiancée as she had a restraining order against him.

Joseph Rosenbaum

A convicted felon whose prior conviction included pedophilia, the court heard that Rosenbaum was aggressive and trouble-seeking that night.

He “went in people’s faces … yelled and yelled,” repeatedly shouted “Shoot me, N****” and appeared “triggered” by people dousing a burning dumpster he was trying to push into the street.

One night he armed himself with a chain from a flatbed truck that had also been set on fire. On another, he took the t-shirt he was wearing and wrapped it around his face.

A self-confessed boogaloo boi, Ryan Balch, who was there that night, testified that Rosenbaum threatened within earshot of Rittenhouse “to kill one of you motherfuckers if I get you alone.”

Video footage showed what witness testimony said, which was that Rosenbaum chased Rittenhouse downstairs and “ambushed him.” He threw his plastic bag at the teen and “cornered” him between parked cars before the teen turned and shot, as “up the snout fell”. his weapon.’

Rosenbaum was shot four times – once in the pelvis, once in the hand, once in the head in a graze and once in the back as he fell – the so-called “killer shot”.

Anthony Huber, 26, was the only one of the four to claim to be a personal friend of Jacob Blake, the black man whose shooting by police sparked the BLM protests and nights of rioting.

In court, prosecutors tried to portray him as “the kind of person who would put themselves in danger” in order to protect others. But their efforts were quickly ended by the defense’s threat to expose his violent criminal past if they did so.

Anton Huber

Huber’s criminal history included arming himself with a butcher knife and threatening to “gut him like a pig” before burning down his family’s home “with everything you got in it.”

The jury was not present to hear the alarming details of Huber’s violent outburst, during which he grabbed his brother by the neck and put a knife to his stomach and ear. On another occasion, he kicked his sister in her right hip, causing her pain and a fall.

Instead, they heard short statements from his great-aunt Sarah Hughes, who only spoke glowingly of him and remembered how he took his skateboard everywhere.

On the night of August 25, 2020, he used this skateboard as a “lethal weapon,” striking Rittenhouse’s head twice with it before he grabbed his gun and was shot in the chest at point-blank range.

Gaige Grosskreutz, 28, the state’s “sole survivor” and “star witness,” was portrayed there that night as a selfless paramedic to provide non-partisan medical assistance.

In truth, he is a convicted felon and career criminal whose most recent charge – a second time DUI – was dismissed just six days before he took the stand.

Grosskreutz has a long list of criminal convictions, many of them violent. Once he hit his own grandmother and damaged the drywall in her house by hurling a lamp at it. Among his many offenses he was convicted of burglary, roaming and property destruction.

Gaige Grosskreutz

He smashed an ex-girlfriend’s window at 4am after harassing her over the phone earlier that evening, threatening: “I’ll be right back and it’s not going to be nice so you better answer.”

He was charged twice with gun violations, including possession of a firearm while intoxicated and possession of a firearm when he was banned as a felon.

He has a history of lying to law enforcement and not cooperating with them, and when he was arrested for roaming just months before the Kenosha riots, the police report noted that he “made his anti-law enforcement views clear.”

Grosskreutz admitted on the witness stand that he lied in his original police report, in which he failed to mention that he was armed with his Glock 27 when he was shot or that he was pointing it at Rittenhouse as he advanced.

He has also omitted that information from the civil lawsuit he has filed against Kenosha City — in which he is seeking $10 million — and from a lawsuit he has filed in federal court.

Attorney Mark Richards reminded the jury in his closing statements, saying, “He has 10 million reasons to lie.”

Maurice Freeland, 39, the man now named as the unidentified criminal plaintiff in one of the two First-Degree Reckless Endangering Safety cases facing Rittenhouse and the so-called “jump-kick man,” is also a career criminal and convicted felon.

On the night of August 25, 2020, Freeland received a flying kick to Rittenhouse’s head when the teenager tripped and fell while trying to escape. He narrowly avoided being shot as the teenager fired twice at close range.

Maurice Freiland

Freeland has an open case of domestic violence over an assault in which he ‘fought’ with his partner in a drunken rage, eventually throwing her to the ground and kicking her in the chest before she could escape.

It’s just one of several battery charges that appear on his record, which goes back more than 20 years and includes 25 incidents in Kenosha County alone.

These include violent crimes, property destruction, disorderly conduct, DUIs, possession of controlled substances, traffic violations, escapes from custody, and probation violations.

He has confirmed his identity as a jump-kick man but has not been called to testify as he refused to do so unless Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger granted him immunity, which he declined.

Freeland was in the Kenosha County jail on multiple charges as recently as October when he was bailed out on $1,500 bail.

A previously unidentified man who kicked Kyle Rittenhouse in the head before the teenager shot him twice in the Kenosha riots last August has now been identified as a career criminal and a convicted felon with an open charge of domestic violence.

Rittenhouse was charged with recklessly endangering the safety of the first degree man, known only as the “jump-kick man” at his trial, after he gave the teenager a flying kick to the head shortly after fatally shooting Joseph Rosenbaum . Rittenhouse responded by firing once, shooting Huber in the chest at point-blank range, killing him. Next was Gaige Grosskreutz, who advanced on Rittenhouse with a Glock 27 but was shot in the right bicep in the process.

Prosecutors representing the state have tried to portray these men as “heroes” trying to bring down an “active shooter,” the Daily Mail reported, noting that Huber and Grosskreutz also had long and violent criminal histories , the latter having lied to authorities in the past. Criminal records have now emerged on the ‘jump-kick man’, who was out on bail that night for an alleged assault on his girlfriend, which included kicking her in the chest and throwing her to the ground.

Speaking to local Wisconsin Right Now news website, Freeland claimed he was the “unidentified complainant” on the second of the five counts the jury is currently deliberating. It was WISN 1130 talk radio host Dan O’Donnell who broke the story, saying prosecutors had identified the man but not named him.

Although it is unclear when the state learned Freeland’s identity, it has been confirmed that he requested immunity before testifying in court and that Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger would not grant it. Daily Mail reported how man Binger, who painted a hero, was out on bail after being charged with domestic violence by battery, criminal damage to property and domestic violence in a March 23, 2020 incident.

The newspaper obtained court filings detailing the night Freeland and his partner Monalisa N McDuffie were both drinking before police responded to a call about “family problems” around 12.19am. McDuffie told responding officers that she took Freeland’s car keys early in the evening “believing that neither [she nor he] were in a condition to drive safely.” Freeland was angry and turned violent after a friend drove her home.

The criminal complaint reads: “Maurice began screaming … and hitting the drywall in several places. The two began ‘brawling,’ and while this was happening, Monalisa reported that Maurice punched her three times in the chest, causing her pain.” She added that Freeland “threw her to the ground and kicked her in the lower right rib cage … and then started hitting the TV.” The victim told police how she fled out the back door and dropped her phone as she ran. Meanwhile, “Freeland yelled something to the effect of, ‘You better run bitch, I’ll kill you.'” Authorities later found “fist-sized” holes in the drywall, blood on Freeland’s ankles, and dried blood around the collar of McDuffie’s shirt , which “looked like it was stretched,” reported the Daily Mail.

This is reportedly just one of several open cases against Freeland, whose Kenosha County criminal record includes 25 counts spanning more than two decades, including violent criminal offenses, destruction of property, possession of controlled substances, traffic offenses, family court violations, and escape from prison.

According to the Daily Mail, the most recent records go back three years and cover a whole range of charges. Freeland’s last detention was in May before being released on October 24. The charges in this case included battery, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, and multiple traffic violations, including driving a vehicle while on probation.
