The alleged sightings took place about 500 miles from the North Port of Laundry, Florida. Northport Police Tuesday resumed searches for Laundry on the Carlton Reservation, a swamp believed to be the last he visited before disappearing last week.

Reality TV bailiff agent Dog the Bounty Hunter chimed in on how he would locate Laundrie.

“We have to set his record,” Chapman said. “We need to see what his background is in terms of domestic violence or anything else.”

Chapman said investigators needed to check with Laundrie’s family and friends to see what they knew about him.

“I don’t have any inside information to look at the case yet. But it seemed like she was very verbal when they got into arguments because there were people who could hear her yelling at him,” he said.

Chapman added that Laundrie may have taken his own life.

“He went straight home to tell his parents what happened. And then he took off. So we have to look at his background, look at his record, you know, his friends, his family. He is not an experienced runner or a criminal. Suicide is a very likely possibility — and it seems like being an outdoors kid,” he said.

Laundrie has not been seen since leaving his family home on September 14 after telling them he was going hiking in nearby Carlton Reserve.

Dog, whose real name is Duane Chapman, told Newsweek that authorities needed to investigate Laundrie’s background

He traveled to the home in North Port, Florida, in the white 2012 Ford Transit that the couple was driving.

“He seems like an outdoor kid, you know, a camper,” Chapman said. “What is his connection to the reserve? There must be a family member there. You know, why did he just go there all of a sudden?’

Petito’s stepfather, James Schmidt, visited the exact spot where her body was found in Wyoming and created his own memorial for the 22-year-old New Yorker.

Schmidt, who is married to Petito’s mother Nichole, traveled from New York to Wyoming last week to help search for the missing Van Life traveler.

She had been reported missing on September 11, and he left on September 14. Her body was found on September 19.

On Wednesday, Schmidt made a stone cross at the spot where Petito was discovered, Fox News confirmed. He left yellow and white flowers on the site under the trees.

A similar memorial had been erected on Monday on an open patch of muddy land on the bank of a river near the campsite.

Gary Rider, a friend of Schmidt’s, said the couple visited the site on Wednesday and left some flowers next to the other cross.

“We went – the little cross with flowers was made by Jim and I,” he told The Independent.

“This major cross was not made by anyone involved in the search or recovery of Gabby.”

A memorial service for Petito will be held in New York on Sunday, the Long Island Funeral Home confirmed Wednesday.

Petito saved money for her road trip by working at a pharmacy, then hit the road on July 2nd

Moloney’s Holbrook Funeral Home in Holbrook, 50 miles east of Manhattan, announced the memorial on its website.

The event will take place from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

No information was given about a funeral or a service.

Gabby Petito, 22, is seen with her boyfriend Brian Laundrie, 23, in a YouTube video made to document their “Van Life” road trip. Petito’s body was found on Sunday and Laundrie has disappeared

A memorial made of stones arranged in a cruciform shape was discovered Monday night at the Spread Creek Dispersed Campsite east of Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park. On Wednesday, Petito’s stepfather made a similar tribute at the very spot where her body was found

Petito’s family – from Blue Point, New York – has not spoken since a coroner confirmed on Tuesday that the body discovered on Sunday was indeed her.

They said they would speak as soon as their remains were returned to them.

The hunt for the only “person of interest” in her case continues.

Her boyfriend Brian Laundrie, 23, was reported missing by his parents on September 17, three days after he told them he was going hiking.

When Gabby’s body was found, the Laundrie family’s attorney issued a statement in which there were just five words: “May she rest in peace.”

The search for Laundrie has focused since Sunday on the Carlton Reservation — a swampy, alligator-filled 25,000-acre site where Laundrie’s abandoned car was found. The silver Ford Mustang contained a note requesting that it be towed away.

The North Port Police Department tweeted around 7pm Wednesday night that the search was complete for the day and would resume in the morning.

‘The ground search for Brian Laundrie has been suspended for tonight. Nothing found,’ they said.

“We will be back on Thursday, similar operation.”

Petito and Laundrie are seen in Utah on July 4th. They had set out on a road trip two days earlier to document their journey on social media

The couple had been on an overland trip together since July 2, when they left New York. Petito was reported missing on September 11

There was brisk activity the previous Wednesday as divers were brought to the site, but it was later revealed that there was no connection to the case.

The team, consisting of about 10 divers, was requested by North Port Police on Wednesday morning, Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kaitlyn Perez said.

“These divers are specially trained and very talented in low visibility waters,” Perez said.

“You dive down where you and I can’t see anything at all. They’re using technology and other special equipment to go deep into really deep water, so now they’re out there to salvage whatever they can find.”

The Laundrie family were initially reluctant to cooperate with the investigation.

Her home was searched Monday and Brian’s parents Christopher and Roberta were questioned.

On Wednesday, laundry neighbors William and Charlene Guthrie said they saw the Laundrie family leave the home in an RV about a week after Brian’s solo return to Florida on Sept. 1.

William Guthrie told Fox News he was working in his garden when he saw the laundries attach what appeared to be a new RV to the back of their pickup truck.

Search teams are pictured en route to the Carlton Reservation in Florida on Wednesday

The Carlton Reserve has been the focus of a search for Laundrie since his car was found at the scene on Sunday

“I saw how they worked. And then, as they were getting ready for their trip, I saw them loading the RV,” he said.

The couple told Fox the laundries were gone “for the weekend” after packing the new camper.

At the time, Petito had not yet been officially reported missing: her family had only raised the matter with police on September 11.

The Guthries said they found it “strange” that Christopher, Roberta and Brian Laundrie would be spending the weekend together in a small vehicle.

Laundrie was apparently an avid reader, with some referencing a video on the couple’s YouTube page of him reading a book about a missing wife. He is seen here camping with Petito on the Appalachian Trail in March for her birthday

It also emerged on Wednesday that Petito and Laundrie were spotted at a Tex-Mex restaurant in Jackson Hole on August 27 – where an “aggressive” Laundrie berated staff during an argument over the bill.

Nina Celie Angelo, from New Orleans, was at the restaurant with boyfriend Matthew England and noticed the blazing argument sometime between 1pm and 2pm.

Your account contains what is believed to be the last sighting of Petito.

While dining in the restaurant, they overheard a loud conversation in which another customer – believed to be a laundry – was yelling at the staff in what appeared to be a dispute over the bill.

Brian Laundrie mowed the lawn and went on bike rides with the family “as if nothing bothered him” after returning alone from an overland trip. as if nothing had bothered him’ after returning alone from the cross-country trip. Charlene Guthrie, who lives across the street from the Laundrie family in North Port, Fla., told Fox News she saw Laundrie return to “normal life” — while his girlfriend Gabby Petito was missing, possibly already dead. “He’s got the lawn mowed. He and his mom rode their bikes around the block,’ Guthrie said. “I mean, everything was just normal life when he came back. “And I just can’t get over the fact that she – it seemed like nothing bothered him. How can you do that?’ Laundrie returned to North Port without Petito in the couple’s motorhome on September 1. Authorities were then informed of her disappearance on 9/11 ‘should be a suspect.’ The neighbor also lashed out at Laundrie’s parents for not coming forward when their son went missing and for “letting him go” in the first place. “I have children and I know you’re doing what you can to protect your child, but it can go so far and ultimately you have to do the right thing. You have to,” Guthrie said. “[The Laundries] really should have come forward by now. I mean, I just can’t believe they didn’t do anything. I’m really angry now that they… let this happen. “And that everything was so natural and they stayed so normal the whole time, you know, while they were here until he was on the run.”

Angelo said the man involved in the argument displayed “aggressive” body language.

The man left the restaurant and then returned about four times, she said.

After that, a young woman who was with the man – presumably Petito – came into the restaurant and apologized to the waiter for his behavior.

Merry Piglets officials later posted on Instagram: “Yes we can confirm Gabby and Brian were in Merry Piglets.

“We’ve already notified the FBI and they know about it. We let them do their job and we respect Gabby’s family and have nothing further to comment on.’

As England reviewed bodycam footage of Petito and Laundrie, it began to dawn on him early Wednesday morning that they looked familiar.

“He’s like, ‘Nina, that was the couple that had an argument in the restaurant,'” Angelo said.

“And it stopped me. I felt like the blood was leaving my body.

“I was like, ‘Oh my god, I completely forgot about that incident’.”

Her account is another crucial piece of the puzzle as the police and FBI try to understand Petito and Laundrie’s movements.

They were helped by the intense public interest in the case.

A major manhunt was launched on September 11 to find the missing woman, and police said they eventually received more than 1,000 leads.

According to the Associated Press, the hashtag #GabbyPetito has received more than 650 million views on social media platform TikTok as of Tuesday.

Petito and Laundrie had amassed a following on social media as they traversed the west in their van, and other social media users went looking for leads.

The van was spotted in footage shared by YouTubers, with a TikTok user saying she took a “nervous” laundromat when he saw the couple around that time on April 29.

A graphic designer who has lived in her Airstream trailer for the past four years said she believes she is the one who led the FBI to Petito’s body after agents told her: “You guys are the ones who really got us.” gave the right tip Platz’.

Jessica Schultz told law enforcement that she spotted Laundrie on August 26, 27 and possibly 28 near the Spread Creek campground in Wyoming.

Schultz, 38, said the publicity surrounding the missing New Yorker encouraged her to come forward and spoke to the FBI on Sept. 16.

She said in a TikTok that she and a group of friends camped in Spread Creek from Aug. 22-29.

“During that time period, we all independently noticed this van,” she said.

Schultz said she noticed the van because it was trying to park and blocked her path. She remembered very clearly seeing a man alone – who she now believes was Laundrie.

She said she was “100 percent sure” it was him.

“He was very…kind of awkward and confused,” she said on TikTok.

‘He was just him, there was no Gabby.’

Brian Laundrie and Gabby Petito had been on the road since early July. Petito was reported missing on September 11, and on September 16, a fellow van-life passenger told the FBI she believed she had spotted Laundrie

Schultz approached the van to see if the man wanted to join their group, but saw he was much younger than them and decided against extending the invitation.

“He was just acting weird,” she told the San Francisco Chronicle.

“You know, when you’re out in the middle of nowhere, the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when you see something out of the ordinary.”

She added: “I’m pretty sure he got out of the van to look around or something.

“There is definitely no one in the passenger seat; like he definitely doesn’t have a girl in there.’

On August 27, Schultz saw the van again.

This time she was traveling as a passenger in her friend’s vehicle and noticed that Petito’s van used by her and Laundrie was in the same area.

“I was like, ‘Oh, the guy was staying the night,'” Schultz recalled when she told her friend.

“He was very clumsy and confused. And it was just him. There was no Gabby’: Jessica Schultz describes on TikTok how she saw Laundrie: ‘So I saw Brian Laundrie park his van in Spread Creek on August 26th. “So I had already reported what I saw to the FBI. “And I wasn’t 100% sure, but now that there’s dashcam footage of the van where I saw him, I’m 100% sure I saw him park his van. “And he was very awkward and confused. And it was just him. There was no Gabby. “But that’s only because, as a van lifer, I checked out their van and checked if it was a couple or a solo guy. “So it was a solo guy as far as I could tell. Unless she was somewhere in the back. But when I stopped he was still driving and hadn’t stopped yet. “So I was like, hey, what are you gonna do? Do you want to let me pass because it’s only a car’s width from a street? “And he stopped about halfway and let me pull halfway onto the road to go around him. “So I thought it was just really weird. And for a timeline it was parked on the 26th I think.’ “Sorry my last video got cut off. I guess I only get 60 seconds. “It’s probably just as well, because the FBI actually called me back. Not as a result of my TikTok. “So a group of friends and I camped at Spread Creek from the 22nd to the 29th. “And in that period of time we all independently noticed that the van was parked there. And I especially noticed that because I saw this van trying to park. And also because it wasn’t really parked in a specific spot. “Spread Creek Campground consists of a number of designated sites and camping is not permitted outside of these sites. “This van wasn’t in the right place so I thought it was going to be booted by the people patrolling the area. But the van sat there for several days and nights and was not booted. The strangest thing was that there was no indication that anyone was at the van. “Usually in little vans people have their doors open, they’re outside, they’ve got a hammock, like that. But we didn’t see any sign of real life on the van.”

She remembered it clearly, she said, because it wasn’t a designated parking lot.

Schultz also believes she saw the van on Aug. 28 because she recalled being surprised the owners hadn’t been asked to go to an actual parking lot.

“The weirdest part was that there was no indication that anyone was in the van,” Schultz shared on TikTok.

As footage of the missing couple circulated, Schultz noticed the distinctive hat on the dashboard — which she had seen.

The van that Petito and Laundrie were traveling in was spotted by several travelers, including Schultz

“My friend texted me a picture of the hat on the dash, and I just lost my ass,” Schultz said.

“And then I called the FBI and said, ‘Guys, look at Spread Creek.’

Lupe Alvarez, a friend of Schultz’s who was camping at the site, said he and his partner first saw police teams searching for Petito Friday night.

On Saturday, as they were about to leave for a hike, a ranger approached them and asked them not to destroy any evidence.

“She told us, ‘You’ve probably heard about the missing girl and the van,'” Alvarez said.

Schultz said someone from the FBI called her and her friends back for an interview just before 10 a.m. Sunday — before word got out that Petito’s remains had been found.

Schultz recalled the FBI agent saying, “I’ve spoken to hundreds of people, but you guys are the ones who really put us in the right place, so thanks.”

She added: “We triumph – we were right and we guided them in the right direction.

“But of course it’s something you don’t like to be right about. It sure was emotionally draining.’
