“You’re out of control. You’ve been out of control since eighth grade,” Kniece told Lambert, referencing her own testimony in court that she was living with her first boyfriend when she was that age.

Lambert had paid a man, who turned out to be an undercover deputy sheriff for Franklin County, a $125 deposit to get the job done.
She also gave him a photograph of Cooke with information typed on the back, which included Cooke’s address, vehicle descriptions and instructions for tracking her movements.
Lambert’s attorney said she was mentally fragile and argued that the undercover officer lured her into the assassination agreement.
Kellie Cooke and her husband Shawn are raising the two teenage girls and have two young children of their own. (Tara’s husband, Brandon, is the teenage girls’ father, and the Lamberts feuded over their visiting plans for years, leading to lengthy court battles.)
At the sentencing hearing, Shawn Cooke told Knece that children used to be afraid of an imaginary bogeyman; now they fear a real one.
